Solar And Wind Power Systems Guide Review

Review of Top Renewable Energy Guides For Solar And Wind Power Systems

Based on the following criteria, we were able to rank the guides we reviewed. Out of 12 guides, we managed to find 3 that were able to satisfy our stringent guidelines.

In summary, these are the guidelines we used.

1. Efficiency of Solar and Wind Power Systems – how much savings and effectiveness

2. Ease of Use – novice-friendly

3. Cost of Setup – must be affordable and to be exact lesser than $200 for each system

Here are the guides we found that satisfies the above criteria and scored well in each aspect.

1st – Earth Energy For Home

Earth Energy For Home sets the standard for all renewable energy guides. We give this product the top spot because of its clear instructions. Everything is explained in step-by-step format without using rocket science jargons. Great pains are taken to explain every detail clearly with illustrations, pictures and diagrams. Most of the guides we read simply cannot match up to it.

There are only 75 pages including the plans and diagrams and are easily digestible. We tried building our solar panels and wind turbine and were able to set them up successfully within a few weekends. And the beauty of it is they are within the budget set, which is $200.

In terms of efficiency, it tops the list compared to all its competitors. We were quickly able to cut down our electric bills by 50% in the first month and 80% in the second.

The overall experience of following and applying what we learnt from Earth Energy For Home was good and this is why we felt it is reasonable and fair to give it the top spot.

2nd – Earth 4 Energy

Earth 4 Energy is comparable to Earth Energy For Home in terms of quality but we find it not as easy to understand as our top guide. Using the systems explained within Earth 4 Energy, we were able to cut down our electric bills (testing it on one of our friends’ house) by up to 75% on average.

We like the content but still prefer the more detailed and clearer diagrams provided by Earth Energy For Home.

Earth 4 Energy provides a free bonus guide which you will receive within the member’s area. No prize for guessing here but we can tell you right now. It is a guide on biodiesel fuel. While it is at No.2, this product is still much better than others.

3rd – Homemade Power Plant

While this is a quality product, it definitely pales in comparison to the previous two guides. The diagrams and plans for the solar power system are too brief and hardly explained much. These are replaced by text explanation which we feel may not be most appropriate, especially if you are a first-timer building such a device.

That said, it is still easier to understand than the rest of the guides we read and reviewed. Clearly, while it is not as good as the No.1 and No.2 renewable energy guides, it does still deserve as the No.3.
